West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2024: Assistance to Individual Handloom Weaver
“Assistance to Individual Handloom Weaver” is a sub-scheme under “West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2024”, implemented by the MSME and Textiles Dept, Government of West Bengal aims to provide one-time financial assistance to the individual Handloom weavers.
About This Scheme
“Assistance to Individual Handloom Weaver” is a sub-scheme under “West Bengal Handloom and Khadi Weavers Financial Benefit Scheme 2024”, launched by the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise and Textiles Department, Government of West Bengal on 7th March, 2024, and it shall remain in force for a period of five years. The objective of this sub-scheme is to provide one-time financial assistance to the individual Handloom weavers who are not under the ambit of any Primary Weavers’ Cooperative Societies.
Benefits
₹5000/- per weaver towards repair/renovation of work shed and/or repair/modification of loom & accessories.
₹10,000/- will also be provided towards raw material assistance for production of handloom products. To get this benefit, the raw material, i.e. yarn has to be procured through Tantuja.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant should be an Individual Weavers.
Application Process
Apply Offline
An eligible PWCs/ Khadi society/ Individual Weaver will apply either in online or in offline mode in the prescribed format (as would be notified by this
department
) before the Director, Textiles.
