About This Scheme
The “Admission Process in All Government and Non-Government Schools of the State” scheme is implemented by the Basic Education Department under the Department of Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide free and accessible education for children from Class 1 to 8 by offering free education and essential learning materials, including books, shoe-bags, and meals, across all government and non-government schools in the state.
Benefits
After admission in all Government and Non-Government schools of the state, children from Class 1 to 8 receive free education, meals, books, and shoe-bags.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
The applicant (child) must be 6 years old to get admission in Class 1.
The applicant (student) must be currently registered in Anganwadi Bal Vatika to be eligible for admission to Class 1.
Application Process
Apply Offline
Admission to Class 1 in government and private schools begins every year in April.
For the admission process, any one of the following documents can be submitted as proof of the studentβs age: the childβs hospital/ANM record, Anganwadi record, village/family register, or a declaration by the guardian/parents regarding the childβs age.
In case the student is transferring from another school, the school leaving/transfer certificate (TC) from the previous school is mandatory.
