Distribution of Seeds of more productions varieties/ Hybrids varieties Seeds and fertilizer at subsidies etc. to Adivasi farmers in Tribal Area: Plant protection pesticides Gujarat
The scheme aims to help Scheduled Tribe farmers and tribal cultivators residing outside tribal areas achieve higher agricultural crop production and improve their livelihood. Through this scheme, various tools and practices are provided to the farmers at subsidised rates.
About This Scheme
The scheme “Distribution of Seeds of more productive varieties / Hybrid varieties Seeds and fertilizer at subsidies, etc. to Adivasi farmers in Tribal Area (TASP)” with a component “Plant protection pesticides” is introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat, aims to help Scheduled Tribe farmers and tribal cultivators residing outside tribal areas achieve higher agricultural crop production and improve their livelihood. Through this scheme, assistance is provided for various components, including plant protection pesticides, which, when used according to scientific recommendations, can significantly increase crop production.
Benefits
75% of the purchase price or âš 750/- per hectare, whichever is lower (subject to a maximum of two hectares per account)
Remarks: According to conditions No. 5, 16, 17, 19 and 22 of Appendix-1, crop protection drugs included under Pesticides Act-1968 have to be given.
Biological/herbal medicines are to be preferred.
Frequency: Every year.

Eligibility Criteria
The applicant should belong to a Scheduled Tribe.
The applicant should be a farmer.
The applicant should be located in tribal areas OR be a tribal cultivator residing outside tribal areas.
The scheme excludes farmers from Dang district.
