Financial Assistance To Dairy Farmers Belonging To Scheduled Tribes And Scheduled Caste For Purchase Of Basic Dairy Equipments
The scheme aims to provide assistance to the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Caste communities for the purchase of basic dairy equipments needed to run a small scale dairy farming, and to encourage the tribal population to adopt Animal Husbandry activities, especially Dairy Development Schemes.
About This Scheme
The scheme “Financial Assistance to Dairy Farmers Belonging to Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Caste for Purchase of Basic Dairy Equipments” was launched by the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Government of Goa. The scheme aims to provide assistance to the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Caste communities for the purchase of basic dairy equipments needed to run a small scale dairy farming, and to encourage the tribal population to adopt Animal Husbandry activities, especially Dairy Development Schemes. The scheme is implemented by the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services. The applications for this scheme are accepted offline through the local Veterinary Officer or Assistant Director.
Benefits
Maximum Financial Assistance
100% subsidy shall be provided for dairy items of general use.
The subsidy is subject to a maximum amount of ₹30,000/- or the actual cost of the items, whichever is lower.
The subsidy is a one-time assistance per family.
Maximum Permissible Subsidy per Item
Stainless Steel Cans (Twenty liters Capacity): ₹3,800/- (for 2 permissible units).
500 Liters Water Tanks: ₹3,500/- (for 1 permissible unit).
Calf Nipple Bucket: ₹1,500/- (for 1 permissible unit).
Spray Pump 15 Liters Capacity: ₹2,000/- (for 1 permissible unit).
Steel Buckets: ₹2,200/- (for 2 permissible units).
0.5 Horsepower water Pump: ₹5,000/- (for 1 permissible unit).
Ceiling Fans: ₹4,000/- (for 2 permissible units).
Steel Vessels 5 Liters Capacity: ₹900/- (for 2 permissible units).
Spade: ₹250/- (for 1 permissible unit).
Grooming Brush: ₹400/- (for 2 permissible units).
Gamelas: ₹500/- (for 2 permissible units).
Nylon Rope: ₹400/- (for 2.5 kilograms).
Sickle: ₹250/- (for 1 permissible unit).
Pickaxe: ₹300/- (for 1 permissible unit).
Rubber mat: ₹5,000/- (for 2 permissible units).
Benefit Disbursal
Subsidy shall be directly credited to the beneficiary’s bank account.
In case of limited purchase of dairy items, proportionate subsidy shall be released.
The Department will release the subsidy within 60 days of receiving the documents completed in all respects.
Conditions
The beneficiary must use the dairy equipments purchased for the development of their dairy unit.
The beneficiary shall abide by the provision of the said scheme, and undertake to comply with the Pattern of Assistance of the scheme as contained in the scheme.
The beneficiary must use the dairy equipments for a minimum period of 3 (three) years from the date of purchase, subject to normal wear and tear.
The beneficiary solemnly undertakes to refund the cost of the items if the items are found misutilised or missing.
In case of breach of any clause, the Government is free to recover the subsidy released through any due benefits under other eligible schemes of the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and/or under the land revenue code.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a resident of Goa for at least five preceding years.
The applicant must belong to the Scheduled Tribe or Scheduled Caste Community.
The applicant must be a Dairy Farmer.
The applicant must have at least two milch animals.
The two milch animals must be Local Cows, Indigenous cows, Cross Bred cows, Local Buffaloes, or Improved Buffaloes.
Application Process
Apply Offline
Step 1: The interested applicant should take a printout of the
prescribed proforma
.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents, within the prescribed period (if any), to the local Veterinary Officer or Assistant Director.
Step 4: The concerned local Veterinary Officer or Assistant Director shall scrutinize the application and verify the documents to ensure they are complete in all respects. The officer must then forward the application to the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Patto-Panaji, along with his or her recommendation, within 15 days of its receipt.
Step 5: The application will undergo further processing at the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services. The application will be approved by the Directorate if it is found to be in order based on the established scheme provisions.
Post-Approval Processes
Step 1: On approval of the application, the beneficiary must purchase the dairy equipment. The beneficiary must then submit the original purchase receipts or bills to the local Assistant Director or Veterinary Officer, within 90 days of the application approval.
Step 2: The bills will be verified by the concerned officer. Certification of the bills will be done only after an inspection of the purchased equipment has been carried out. The verified and certified documents are then submitted to the Head Office for the release of the subsidy amount.
Step 3: On receiving the documents completed in all respects, the Department will release the approved subsidy. The subsidy will be released within 60 days of the completed documents being received and shall be directly credited to the beneficiary’s bank account.
