Khushiyon Ki Sawari Sewa – Uttarakhand
The scheme aims to provide safe, timely, and free transportation for pregnant women and newborn babies (0 – 1 year) to access healthcare services, including travel from home to the hospital and from the hospital back home.
About This Scheme
The scheme “Khushiyon Ki Sawari Sewa” has been launched by the Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to provide free and safe transport for pregnant women and newborn babies (0 -1 year) to and from the hospital, with services easily accessible by calling 102.
Benefits
Under this scheme, pregnant women are provided free transportation from the hospital to their homes along with their newborns after delivery. Additionally, pregnant are also provided free to-and-fro transportation from home to the hospital for ultrasound services.
These facilities are being provided across the state through 128 vehicles.
Eligibility Criteria
The beneficiary must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
The beneficiary must be a pregnant woman or a newborn baby aged 0 to 1 year.
