Marriage Assistance To Daughters Of Differently Abled Parents (Parinayam-I)
Marriage Assistance for Daughters of Differently Abled Parents (Parinayam-I)
The Government of Kerala has introduced the “Marriage Assistance to Daughters of Differently Abled Parents (Parinayam-I)” scheme through the Department of Social Justice. This initiative aims to provide financial support to daughters whose parents are differently abled, ensuring that their marriage expenses are alleviated. Under this program, a one-time financial aid of ₹30,000 is allocated for the marriage of up to two daughters from eligible families.
Key Benefits of the Scheme
- Financial Support: A one-time assistance of ₹30,000 is granted to differently abled parents specifically for the marriage of their daughters.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Kerala.
- Parents with disabilities seeking assistance must meet the eligibility requirements of the scheme.
- The bride must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
- The combined annual family income should not exceed ₹1,00,000.
Important Notes:
- Applications can be submitted for the marriage of two daughters.
- Financial aid for the second daughter’s marriage can be requested only three years after the first disbursement.
- If the marriage ends and the bride remarries, financial aid can be provided again, considering any compensation received from the previous marriage.
- If the differently abled parent passes away before the daughter’s marriage, assistance can be granted to another responsible family member.
- In instances where the parent with disabilities dies after the marriage but before receiving the aid, the remaining family members may still receive financial support with adequate security.
