Medical Assistance to Beneficiaries (HPBOCWWB)

The “Medical Assistance to Beneficiaries” scheme under the Labour and Employment Department HP, provides financial support for healthcare. It covers ₹50,000 for outdoor treatment, ₹1,00,000 for indoor treatment, and ₹5,00,000 for critical illnesses each year, upon submission of valid medical bills.

About This Scheme

The “Medical Assistance to Beneficiaries” scheme, launched by the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (HPBOCWWB) under the Government of Himachal Pradesh, offers registered beneficiaries and their dependents annual financial support for medical expenses, including ₹50,000 for outdoor treatment, ₹1,00,000 for indoor medical reimbursement, and ₹5,00,000 for critical illnesses, provided they submit valid medical bills from government hospitals or government-approved facilities.

Benefits

₹50,000 is provided annually for outdoor medical treatment.

₹1,00,000 is available each year for indoor medical expenses.

₹5,00,000 is granted yearly for critical illness treatment for the registered beneficiary and dependents, with valid medical bills.

Eligibility Criteria

For Registration

The applicant should be a resident of Himachal Pradesh

The applicant should be a Building/ Construction Worker.

The applicant should be aged between 18 and 60 years.

The worker should have completed at least 90 days of building and other construction work in the last 12 months.

The registration of the applicant should be renewed annually.

For Application

The applicant must be engaged in building or construction work.

The applicant must be registered under the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (HPBOCWWB).

The worker’s membership with the Welfare Board must be active at the time of application.

Application Process

Apply Offline

Step 1: The interested applicant should visit the Labor Welfare Office (during office hours) and request a hard copy of the prescribed application form from the concerned authority.

Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, paste a passport-sized photograph (signed across, if required), and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attested, if required).

Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with a wage slip or appointment letter from the employer, verifying 90 days of construction work. If unavailable, a certificate from a local authority (such as a councillor, executive officer, or Panchayat Secretary) can be submitted to verify employment.

Step 4: After submitting the documents and payment, the worker will receive an acknowledgement receipt confirming their registration.

Step 5: After completing the form and uploading the documents, click on the “Submit” button. You will be directed to the payment gateway to pay the application fee online.

Step 6: Upon successful payment and submission, a registration number will be generated. This number serves as a confirmation of your application and can be used for future reference.
