Mukhyamantri Kalyani Vivah Sahayta Yojana
The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to widowed women during remarriage. It offers a one-time support of ₹2,00,000 to eligible kalyani beneficiaries.
About This Scheme
The “Mukhyamantri Kalyani Vivah Sahayta Yojana” was launched by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The aim to provide social security and financial support to widowed women at the time of their remarriage. Under this scheme, a one-time financial assistance is deposited into the beneficiary’s savings bank account to help ensure economic stability and dignified reintegration into family life.
Benefits
Financial assistance of ₹2,00,000 is provided to widowed women at the time of their remarriage
NOTE:
Financial assistance is directly deposited into the beneficiary’s bank savings account.
The assistance is provided only once in a lifetime.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a widowed woman (Kalyani).
The applicant must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh, and her spouse must also be a permanent resident.
The applicant must be 18 years or older, and her husband must be 21 years or older at the time of marriage.
The applicant must not be an income taxpayer.
The applicant must not be a government employee of the state, central government, or government-funded corporations and institutions.
The applicant must not be receiving a family pension from any government source.
There is no restriction of BPL under the scheme.
The husband must not have any living wife from a previous marriage.
There will be no compulsion to marry in a mass marriage ceremony for the Kalyani Vivah Yojana; individual marriages will also be considered valid.
The Kalyani has minor children, the responsibility for the children’s upkeep will be jointly borne by the Kalyani and her husband.

Step 1: The applicant visit the official website
Vivah Portal
Step 2: Click on the “
Apply for Kalyani Marriage
” and fill Applicant Profile Entry
Enter the 9-digit Samagra ID of the applicant (Kalyani).
Verify the auto-populated profile details such as name, date of birth, district, etc.
If any discrepancy is found, initiate data updation before proceeding.
Step 3: Groom Details Entry
Enter the 9-digit Samagra ID of the applicant’s husband.
Verify his profile details with the submitted documents.
If correct, select YES to move to the next process.
Step 4: Entering Additional Information
Personal and Eligibility Details
Enter the applicant’s mobile number, Aadhaar number (if available), occupation, and annual income.
Enter the husband’s Aadhaar number (if available).
Record all eligibility-related declarations: Not an income tax payer, a government employee/officer and not receiving family pension
Step 5: Bank Account Information
Carefully enter the IFSC code and bank account number of the applicant.
Step 6: Uploading Marriage Details & Documents
Marriage Information
Enter the following details accurately: Type of marriage, Place and Date of marriage
Marriage certificate issue date, certificate number, and name/designation of issuing authority
Joint photograph of the applicant and her husband (marriage photo)
Marriage certificate
Step 7: Registering and Locking the Application
After all entries and uploads are completed, Register the application.
Review all details once again.
Click Lock Application to forward it for verification and approval.
Approval / Rejection Process
Step 1: The Joint/Deputy Director logs in and selects “Mukhyamantri Kalyani Vivah Sahayata Yojana” from the portal menu.
Step 2: Based on the verification of documents and committee recommendations, approve (Sanction) or reject the application.
Step 3: After approval, navigate to the list of sanctioned applications.
Step 4: Generate Sanction Order” next to the beneficiary’s name.
Appeal Process
If the appellate authority does not resolve the application within the prescribed time limit or if the application is rejected, the applicant may file an appeal as follows:
First Appellate Authority: Divisional Commissioner
Time Period: 30 working days
Second Appellate Authority: Commissioner, Social Justice and Disabled Welfare
Time Period: 30 working days
NOTE 1: The applicant must submit proof that her previous husband is deceased (death certificate).
NOTE 2: The applicant must apply within 1 year of marriage.

Step 1: The interested applicant downloads the application form page no. 6 (
Annexure A
) from the official website.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the respective Collector Office or the Joint/Deputy Director (Social Justice and Disabled Welfare).
Approval Process
Step 1: A Verification Committee, chaired by the Chief Executive Officer (District Panchayat), examines the application and documents.
Step 2: The committee forwards its recommendation to the District Collector for approval or rejection.
Step 3: The District Collector is the final sanctioning authority.
Step 4: The Collector must approve or reject the application within 30 days.
Appeal Process
If the appellate authority does not resolve the application within the prescribed time limit or if the application is rejected, the applicant may file an appeal as follows:
