Mukhyamantri Sports Development Scheme for Retired Individuals
Initiated by the Directorate of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of Tripura on February 9, 2024, the “Mukhyamantri Sports Development Scheme-Retired Person” is designed to provide employment opportunities for retired sports professionals. This initiative offers a monthly salary of ₹30,000 to support senior physical instructors in various sports disciplines, including gymnastics and swimming.
Overview of the Scheme
The Mukhyamantri Sports Development Scheme-Retired Person aims to engage retired sportspersons as senior physical instructors, thereby leveraging their expertise in promoting sports activities. The contract for this role is valid for a maximum of six months, with the possibility of extension. However, the total duration cannot exceed five years or the age limit of 64 years, whichever comes first.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- The applicant must be a resident of Tripura.
- The individual should be a retired sportsperson.
- Applicants must be under the age of 64 years.
Application Procedure
Interested candidates can apply through the offline method by following these steps:
- Step 1: Download and print the prescribed application form format.
- Step 2: Complete all mandatory fields in the application form. Affix a passport-sized photograph (signed across if necessary) and include copies of all required documents (self-attestation may be needed).
- Step 3: Submit the filled application form along with the necessary documents to the following address:
- Step 4: After submission, request a receipt or acknowledgment from the concerned authority. Ensure the receipt contains important details such as the submission date and time, along with a unique identification number if available.
