One-Time Grant Money to Soldiers Conferred with Vishisht Seva Medal Award
Under this scheme, a one-time financial assistance/grant ranging from a minimum of ₹75,000/- to a maximum of ₹2,00,000/- is provided to serving soldiers and ex-servicemen of the state who have been conferred with the ‘Vishisht Seva Medal Award’.
About This Scheme
The scheme “One-Time Grant to Soldiers Conferred with the Vishisht Seva Medal Award” is implemented by the State Sainik Board under the Sainik Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand. Under this scheme, a one-time financial assistance/grant is provided to serving soldiers and ex-servicemen of the state who have been conferred with the ‘Vishisht Seva Medal Award’.
Benefits
A one-time grant ranging from a minimum of ₹75,000/- to a maximum of ₹2,00,000/- is given to serving soldiers and ex-servicemen of the state.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
The applicant must be a serving soldier or an ex-serviceman of the state who has been conferred with the ‘Vishisht Seva Medal Award’.
Application Process
Apply Offline
After obtaining the application form from the District Sainik Welfare Office, it must be submitted to the concerned office.
The following documents are required for the application: Aadhaar Card of the applicant, PAN Card, Photocopy of bank passbook and cancelled cheque, Identity card of the dependent (if the applicant is a dependent), Domicile certificate of Uttarakhand, Affidavit (on ₹10/- stamp paper) declaring that the applicant has not received, and will not receive in the future, the one-time grant/annuity payable on the gallantry medal from any other state, Photocopy of discharge book (if the applicant is an ex-serviceman), a photocopy of the Gazette Notification regarding conferment of ‘Vishisht Seva Medal Award’
After verification of the applications at the District Sainik Welfare Office level, eligible applicants are paid the approved amount through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Under this, the one-time grant is disbursed immediately, while the annuity amount is released annually.
