Initiated in 2018, the “Performance Linked Grant Scheme for Smaller Business Units” is a key component of the Information Technology Policy of Goa, implemented by the Department of Information Technology. The scheme is designed to bolster the growth and investment potential of smaller business units within the IT sector, establishing Goa as a prime destination for IT operations and expansion.

• The total grant amount is capped at ₹ 25,00,000.

Note: The availability of funds for this scheme is subject to budgetary allocations. If the allocated budget is exceeded, there is no obligation on the part of the government to continue benefits under this scheme.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Performance Linked Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• The applicant must be classified as a Smaller Business Unit.
• Business operations must be conducted within the state of Goa.
• The applicant must fall into one of these categories:
  • Proprietorship Firm
  • Private Limited Company registered under the Companies Act, 2013 (or equivalent)
  • Public Limited Company registered under the Companies Act, 2013 (or equivalent)
  • Registered Partnership Firm under the Indian Partnership Act, 1932 (or equivalent)
  • Limited Liability Partnership registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (or equivalent)
• Bank accounts of the unit and/or its partners/directors must be linked to Aadhaar.
• The applicant should demonstrate a consistent growth of at least 15% in annual turnover over any three consecutive years during the policy’s operational period.

Exclusions

Units that are already benefitting from similar financial incentives under other policies of the Government of Goa are not eligible to apply for this scheme.

Application Procedure

To apply for the Performance Linked Grant, follow these steps:

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to the Goa Online portal. Click on “Register” located at the top right corner.
2. Email and Mobile Verification: Verify your email address and mobile number using the OTP sent to you. You will be directed to the Registration Page.
3. Fill Registration Form: Complete all mandatory fields in the registration form. Create a unique Login Name and a strong Password. Read and accept the Declaration and Terms & Conditions, and fill in the Captcha Code, then click “Register/Signup”.
4. Login: Use your Login Name and Password to access the website. Complete the Captcha Code and click “Login”.
5. Access the Application Form: Click on “Services” in the top menu, followed by “IT Services”. Select the scheme name to access the application form. Fill in all required fields and upload the necessary documents.
6. Submit Your Application: Complete the submission process. A unique registration number will be generated for your reference.

Note: Applicants can submit their applications quarterly, bi-annually, or annually after incurring the relevant expenses.
