Launched on September 1, 2016, by the Tribal Affairs Department, this scheme offers financial support to deserving candidates who have successfully cleared national competitive exams and gained admission to prestigious institutions.
Overview of the Scheme
The primary objective of the Pratibha Yojana is to encourage and assist talented Scheduled Tribe candidates in Madhya Pradesh in their quest for higher education. Financial aid is provided to those who have excelled in competitive examinations such as JEE, NEET, CLAT, AIIMS, and NDA, and have secured admission in esteemed institutions including IITs, NITs, NLUs, AIIMS, and government medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
Key Benefits
The scheme extends various financial benefits to eligible students, which include:
- For students with an annual parental income up to ₹3,00,000: Financial assistance of ₹50,000/-
- For students with an annual parental income exceeding ₹3,00,000: Financial assistance of ₹25,000/-
Note: The financial assistance is directly credited to the bank account of the applicant, which must be linked to their Aadhaar number.
Eligibility Criteria
<pTo be eligible for the Pratibha Yojana, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The applicant must be a student.
- The student should be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
- Applicants must belong to the Scheduled Tribe category.
- The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed ₹6,00,000.
- The student must have qualified in one of the national competitive examinations, including JEE, NEET, CLAT, AIIMS, or NDA.
- Admission must be obtained in one of the following institutions:
- IIT/NIT via JEE
- Government medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh for NEET (MBBS only)
- AIIMS
- NLU via CLAT
- NDA through UPSC
Note: It is essential for the applicant’s Aadhaar to be linked to their bank account. Additionally, possession of the admission receipt from the institution is required.
Application Process
To avail of benefits under the Pratibha Yojana, candidates must follow a structured application process:
Online Registration
- Visit the official website of the Tribal Welfare Department of Madhya Pradesh.
- Select ‘MPTAASC’ from the homepage.
- Click on “New Beneficiary Profile Registration” found in the ‘Login’ section.
- Fill in all mandatory fields marked with * and upload the necessary documents.
- Review your information and click “Submit.”
- Check your email and SMS for your user ID and password after submission.
Application Submission
- Return to the official website of the Tribal Welfare Department of Madhya Pradesh.
- Select ‘MPTAASC’ from the homepage once again.
- Log in using your user ID, password, and captcha code, then click “Login.”
- On your dashboard, click “PMS” and choose “Apply for Scheme.”
- Complete the online application form, upload the necessary documents, and submit it.
- After successful submission, print a copy of your application for future reference.
Note: It is mandatory to register the beneficiary profile before applying for Pratibha Yojana. Applications should be submitted only after securing admission to the respective institute. The admitting institution will validate the admission, and officials will verify the application details. Status updates will be sent to the registered email and via SMS.

Benefits
Under this scheme, eligible students are provided with the following incentives:
A financial assistance of ₹50,000/- is provided to students whose annual parental income is up to ₹3,00,000/-.
A financial assistance of ₹25,000/- is provided to students whose annual parental income exceeds ₹3,00,000/-.
Note: The incentive amount is paid into the applicant’s bank account linked to Aadhaar.
