The scheme βRishi and Milan Khosla Scholarship Schemeβ was launched by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to promote higher education among girl students in the state by providing scholarships to those pursuing their first year of post-graduation in various government colleges across Uttarakhand.
Benefits
A scholarship of βΉ51,000/- per student is given to 50 girl students enrolled in the first year of post-graduation at various government colleges across the state.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant (girl student) must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
The girl student must be studying in a government college in Uttarakhand.
The applicant must be enrolled in the first year of a postgraduate (PG) course.
The applicantβs family annual income from all sources should not exceed βΉ6,00,000/-.
The girl student must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in graduation.

The scheme is implemented under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Uttarakhand and the Rishi and Milan Khosla Foundation, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Applications are generally invited by the Department of Higher Education during DecemberβJanuary, after informing the respective colleges.
To avail the scholarship, the girl student must apply online at

during the specified period. Along with the application, the student is required to submit her Aadhaar card, bank account details, permanent residence certificate, income certificate, mark sheets of all years of graduation, college ID, and proof of admission in post-graduation.
