The scheme “Scheme for Integrated Development for Horticulture (HRT-2)” aims to promote holistic horticultural growth through financial assistance for production, processing, marketing, and infrastructure support to farmers across Gujarat.
About This Scheme
The scheme “Scheme for Integrated Development for Horticulture (HRT-2)” by the Agriculture and Co-operation Department, Government of Gujarat aims to ensure the integrated development of horticulture in the state by providing financial support to farmers for activities such as post-harvest management, farm mechanization, crop processing, market linkage, and infrastructure development. The scheme enables support for exhibitions, seminars, krishimelas, stall rentals, sea/air fridge subsidy for exports, electricity subsidy for greenhouse and tissue culture labs, and assistance for hi-tech greenhouse/polyhouse/net house development.
Benefits
Promotional Activities Support: Provides assistance for publications, exhibitions, competition seminars, Krishi Mela, and stall rental payments related to horticultural crops.
Farm Mechanization: Offers support for farm mechanization, including subsidies for power tillers and mini tractors.
Processing Unit Establishment: Facilitates the establishment of new distillation units for medicinal/aromatic crops and new processing units for cashew and other fruit crops.
Export Subsidies: Provides sea freight subsidy for the export of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and plants, and air freight subsidy for the export of horticultural produce.
Market Rate Control: Supports Minimum Support Price (MSP) to horticultural crops for control of market rates.
Utility Bill Subsidies: Offers subsidy on electricity bills for Greenhouse and Tissue Culture Laboratory.
Equipment Provision: Aids in the provision of harvesting equipment, processing equipment, and crop protection equipment.
Post-Harvest Management: Provides subsidy on packing materials for Post-harvest management of horticultural produce.
Protected Cultivation Infrastructure: Supports the establishment of various structures including Hi-tech Greenhouse (Fan and Pad), PolyHouse (Naturally Ventilated), Net House, kaccha mandap of tomato/chili and other vegetable trellises, Half-lined pedal for climber vegetables, Lined pedal for climber vegetables, and Plug Nursery.
Irrigation Infrastructure: Supports the establishment of Water storage tanks for Drip Irrigation.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant should be a farmer based in Gujarat.
The applicant should be engaged in horticultural activities eligible under the scheme.
The applicant must possess valid land ownership records such as 7/12 Certificate.

Registration Process:
Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at the
I-Khedut
Portal.
Step 2: Click on ‘Login’ from the top right-hand side, then click on “Beneficiary Registration” and select any one from the ‘Farmer’ or ‘Institutional’ or ‘Except For the Farmer’ as the Beneficiary Type.
Step 3: Select the District, Taluka, and Village, choose ‘what type of account holder you are?’, enter your Account Number and Name, solve the Captcha, and click ‘Save and Next’.
Step 4: Enter your Mobile Number and Email address, click ‘Send OTP’, enter the received OTP, create and confirm a Password, solve the Captcha, and click ‘Submit’.
Login Process:
Step 1: The applicant may visit and apply online at the
I-Khedut
Portal.
Step 2: Click on ‘Login’ from the top right-hand side of the homepage. On the home page, click on ‘Schemes’ and then click on ‘Agricultural Schemes’.
Step 3: Now select the scheme, click on the ‘Apply’ button, and an application page will open.
Step 4: Click on the “Apply New” button and submit a new application.
Step 5: Click on the “Update Application” button to add corrections to the application.
Step 6: Once the application is done, confirm it.
Step 7: Take a printout of the confirmed application.
