The βSwanath Scholarship Schemeβ is implemented by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial support to diploma and graduate-level students who are orphans, whose parents or either parent has died due to COVID-19, or who are dependents of martyrs from the military or central armed forces.
Benefits
Eligible students at the diploma or graduation level will receive financial assistance of βΉ50,000/- per annum.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a student.
The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
The applicant must be an orphan, have lost one or both parents due to COVID-19, or be a dependent of a martyr from the military or central armed forces.
The applicantβs annual family income must not exceed βΉ8,00,000/-.

These scholarships are administered by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Applications under the AICTE schemes are invited through the
National Scholarship Portal
(NSP) between September and December, and scholarships are awarded based on merit.
Applicants are required to submit their high school and intermediate mark sheets and certificates, along with an income certificate. For this scheme, the death certificate of the candidateβs parent(s) is also required.
Students must first apply online through the institute where they are enrolled. The application is then verified by the concerned Principal, followed by verification by the State Level Officer (SLO), and finally forwarded to the AICTE, New Delhi.
