The scheme “Umbrella Assistance Scheme” is implemented by the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (UKBOCWWB) under the Labour Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide free umbrellas to registered construction workers to protect them from rain and sunlight.

Under the scheme, an umbrella will be provided to registered construction workers to protect them from rain and sunlight.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a construction worker registered with the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
Application Process
Apply Online – via CSC
The online application can be submitted through Shramik Suvidha Kendras.
Along with the application form, applicants must attach a self-attested photocopy of their Shramik Card, Aadhaar Card, Self-Declaration Certificate, and a certificate confirming that no similar benefit has been availed from any other department.
After verification during the departmental investigation, umbrellas are provided by the department.
This benefit is available to each beneficiary only once in their lifetime.
