The “Financial Assistance for Marriage” program, initiated by the Labour Resources Department of the Government of Bihar, offers monetary support of ₹50,000/- to registered male and female workers. To qualify, these individuals must have been members of the BBOCWWB for a minimum of three years. The financial aid is specifically designated for the marriage of two adult daughters or the female worker’s own marriage. It is important to note that workers who remarry are excluded from this support. This initiative is complementary to the benefits provided under the “Antarjatiye Vivah Protsahan Anudan Yojana”.

Eligibility Requirements

• The applicant must be actively engaged in building or construction work.

• A minimum of three years of continuous membership with the Board is required.
• The membership must be active at the time of application submission.
• Both male and female registered workers can apply for the marriage of their two adult daughters, while female workers can also seek assistance for their own marriage.
• Workers who have remarried are not eligible to receive benefits from this scheme.

Note: The financial assistance provided through this scheme is in addition to the benefits available under the “Antarjatiye Vivah Protsahan Anudan Yojana”.

Online Application Process

To apply for the scheme, follow the steps outlined below:

Registration as a Construction Worker under BBOCWWB:

1. Visit the official website of the Bihar Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
2. Click on “Labour Registration” on the homepage.
3. If not registered, select “Apply for New Registration”.
4. Input your Aadhar card number and name, then click “Authenticate”.
5. A dashboard will appear. Fill in the required fields, ensuring all mandatory fields are completed.
6. Click “Submit” and process the online application fee payment.
7. Your construction worker registration number will be provided upon successful registration.

Applying for Scheme Benefits:

1. Visit the official website of the Bihar Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
2. Select “Scheme Application” and choose “Apply for Scheme”.
3. Enter your registration number, then click “Show” to access your details.
4. Select the scheme for which you wish to apply to receive benefits.
5. Fill in all required information and upload the necessary documents.
6. Click on “Submit Application” to finalize the process.
