HSCST Fellowship Programme — Overview

The HSCST Fellowship Programme 2025 is an initiative by the Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation & Technology (HSCST) designed to support students who have completed their M.Sc. or equivalent degree. The purpose of this fellowship is to provide financial assistance for research in Earth, Mathematical, Chemical, Physical, and Life Sciences, enabling selected fellows to conduct their doctoral research at accredited universities or institutions in Haryana.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must have completed an M.Sc. or equivalent degree.
• Minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
• Age limit: under 28 years as of 1st January 2024.
• Must have qualified for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET exam for JRF and Lectureship.
• Not currently receiving any other fellowship or financial assistance.
• Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, women, physically handicapped, and OBC candidates.

Stipend & Financial Benefits

The selected candidates will receive:

• For JRF-NET (CSIR/UGC) qualified candidates: ₹31,000/month (JRF) and ₹35,000/month (SRF).
• For LS-NET qualified candidates: ₹18,000/month (JRF) and ₹21,000/month (SRF).
• Annual contingency grant of ₹20,000 for research-related expenses.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official application portal: HSCST Portal.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details.
3. Select the fellowship from the advertisement dropdown and click ‘Submit’.
4. Fill in the required details and click on ‘Generate OTP’.
5. Enter the OTP received and upload the necessary documents.
6. Review your application and click on ‘Submit’.

• Last Date: 30th June 2025
• Exam/Interview: July 2025

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS). The fellowship will be awarded to meritorious candidates who qualify for both JRF-NET and LS-NET.
