HPV Vaccination Programme क्या है?

HPV का मतलब है Human Papillomavirus। यह एक virus group है जिसके कुछ high-risk types cervical cancer का सबसे बड़ा कारण माने जाते हैं। भारत में cervical cancer महिलाओं में दूसरा सबसे आम cancer है। Official data के अनुसार हर साल 1.2 लाख से अधिक नए मामले और लगभग 80,000 मौतें दर्ज होती हैं।

इसी disease burden को कम करने के लिए सरकार ने adolescent girls के लिए preventive HPV vaccination rollout शुरू किया है। यह disease होने के बाद इलाज नहीं, बल्कि disease को पहले ही रोक देने की strategy है।

HPV vaccine का सबसे बड़ा फायदा तब होता है जब यह infection होने से पहले दी जाए। इसीलिए adolescent age (किशोरावस्था) में vaccination को सबसे effective preventive step माना जाता है। यही कारण है कि programme का focus specifically 14 साल की लड़कियों पर रखा गया है।

Programme Overview

कौन Eligible है?

Programme का primary target 14 वर्ष की लड़कियां हैं। लेकिन एक और important बात है जो बहुत से parents नहीं जानते: जो लड़कियां launch के 90 दिनों के भीतर 15 वर्ष की हो जाएंगी, वे भी इस intensive campaign phase में eligible हैं।

इसका मतलब यह है कि अगर आपकी बेटी अभी 14 साल की है, या अगले कुछ हफ्तों में 15 की होने वाली है, तो दोनों ही cases में वह vaccine लगवा सकती है। Parents को बस nearest government health facility से confirm करना है।

Vaccination voluntary है। Parent या guardian की informed consent जरूरी है। बिना consent के किसी बच्ची को vaccine नहीं दी जाएगी। School या health centre पर कोई force नहीं करेगा।

कौन सी Vaccine दी जा रही है?

Single-dose strategy WHO, SAGE, ICMR और NTAGI जैसी scientific bodies की recommendations के आधार पर adopt की गई है। Single dose से nationwide coverage बढ़ाना आसान होता है और follow-up burden कम रहता है।

Vaccine कहाँ लगेगी?

HPV vaccine केवल सरकारी स्वास्थ्य संस्थानों पर उपलब्ध है। किसी private agent, unauthorized camp या paid intermediary पर भरोसा न करें। अगर कोई पैसे माँगकर vaccine लगवाने की बात करे तो समझ जाएं कि वह सही नहीं है।

Vaccine मिलने की जगहें: Ayushman Arogya Mandir (PHC level), Community Health Centres (CHCs), Sub-District Hospitals, District Hospitals, और Government Medical Colleges/Hospitals।

कई जिलों में health officials schools के through भी awareness sessions चला रहे हैं। कुछ जगहों पर school-based vaccination camps भी organize किए जा रहे हैं। लेकिन primary vaccination point government health facilities ही हैं।

अगर exact centre की जानकारी चाहिए तो nearest government hospital, CHC, PHC या local health worker (ASHA/ANM) से contact करें। वे आपको बता सकेंगे कि आपके area में vaccination session कब और कहाँ हो रहा है।

अभी Campaign किस Phase में है?

28 फरवरी 2026 को launch के बाद programme अब active rollout phase में है। 90 दिन mission mode में चल रहा है, यानी eligible girls को daily basis पर designated government facilities पर vaccine मिल रही है।

Mission mode के बाद भी vaccine बंद नहीं होगी। उसके बाद routine immunization days पर उपलब्ध रहेगी। इसलिए अगर शुरुआती दिनों में vaccine नहीं लग पाई तो घबराने की जरूरत नहीं, मौका खत्म नहीं हुआ है।

Parents को अभी क्या करना चाहिए?

Step 1: बेटी की age eligibility confirm करें (14 साल, या 90 दिनों में 15 होने वाली)।
